Posted a picture of the actual loofa still growing. I've planted seeds from a loofa that was given to me. I now have four plants growing so I'm going to have loads of sponges!!!

I never realized this produces the loofah sponge. Did you get a lot of sponges?

About 20 or so the first year....planted too late.
There are so many this year that I'm thinking about giving away some as gifts and maybe even selling some. I really should post a pic of this years plant, it is really big. We've already collected 10, the rest are not ready yet.

Wow! That's incredible!
I'll have to look for this plant, as I'm intrigued. Do you used them for kitchen or bathroom sponges, or both?
Kitchen sponges (synthetic and natural ones) are very expensive here. Not sure why?

I will take a pic of this years monster and post it later.....look for it.
I have plenty of seeds to send you if it's not for sale there now (what am I thinking???)
I use it mainly in the bathroom.....I should start using it in the kitchen as well.
Sponges (synthetic and natural) are not expensive here.

I look forward to your pics.
I believe loofah plants are available for sale, here. I think, I've seen them in people's yard. Although, I thought they were bitter melon plants, though (they're in the same family). lol! :>)
You're lucky sponges are not expensive, there.
