I put this in last year & it didn't flower ... then I forgot it was black & thought it was going to be yellow! I have another one by the greenhouse & that's only 2 ft high & just budding up.

Thanks B8 ... I forgot hollyhocks flower all the way round their stem & a lot of the blooms are facing over the fence to nowhere!

think its just the light shining on yours fluff which makes it seem not so black, mine saded by other plants,

That's so beautiful. I grew some from seed last year, planted them in the garden and they have disappeared! I will definitely try again.
