No, it's because I chose white, cream, burgundy and lime green for my island bed....and that's at its best at the moment, Denise. I do like to have a few white flowers elsewhere to 'lift' a border, too. :-)))
Oooh - wouldn't it be lovely to have the space to have a white garden! SIGH...it's so lovely at Sissinghurst - I miss going there...

That sounds a lovely bed Spritz. I to like white as it looks good among the primary colours or lift the greens.

That Gillenia I had in flower last month did exactly that - and now I have a new Lysimachia - L. ephemerum - just coming into flower. I'm told that it isn't a thug like the other memebrs of its tribe! We'll see. Haven't you seen photos of the island bed? Maybe I posted most of them last year...I did write blogs about it if you want to take a look...amd have time! lol.

No - not in the slightest! I can't believe that they have the same name.

No, and mine hardly ever produce any flowers. They're a bit boring, really, but I quite like the fluffy leaves, so I just heave some out occasionally when they spread too far.

will have to look for that one, I just got the pink one. L ephemerum behaves itself in my garden ;-))

You seem to have a lot of white? Did the white garden at Sissinghurst influence you?
