during the garden festival thing, we went on the tour with the head gardener and he explained how the wall on one side meant that that border was always a few days ahead of the opposite one

haha, i wish, but who isn't?! :P I have a deep border i'm digging out this year for planting up in autumn...this is good inspiration, but it would probably be wishing for to much to catch up with several generations of work in just a few years :P (a girl can dream though;)
The gardens there are lovely though, i can't wait to go back and look at them in more detail, as we sort of whisked through the first time :P
