This small tropical tree is native to southern India...it grows slowly and only to 12 feet/ 4 meters tall in time. Photo taken at the San Diego Zoo on July 21, 2010.

Yes, this is the leaf that is used in curry. However, most curries are a combination of different spices.

With my faves being cummin, fennel and chillies!!
I use the leaves regularly as my neighbour is Indian, and as we speak, he's in India getting us some more!!
