Found by a friend on the highway to Canada. This cute little Cypripedium is now blooming in his yard, he just had to bring one home to see how it does.

Not in mine. This grows over the mountains in the river flats. In Fairbanks there is the native calypso orchid but that hasn't shown up in my garden either. Its much smaller but very sweet smelling.

TY. We've only a few small wild orchids, but they are impressive to find. The other blooms end of May.

Thanks. This was the first I'd seen and it was a little beaten from being moved, but still delightful.

Thank you Balcony. Orchids wild are really a sight to see. Seems these more terrestial one's or not often cultivated. I guess some places they are protected from removal, for good reason.
