Red Hollyhock (Alcea)

Red Hollyhock (Alcea)

Got this from neighbours garden who didn't want it. Couldn't get it totally out as was buried in rock hard mud and underneath there driveway. See if it takes but not holding much hope!

It seams that they flower different times the further up north you go. Here in Essex there on there way out on most you see. You might be in luck for this year Drc. Yes it's the colour i've been wanting for weeks. Wouldn't belive the amount of nurserys in Essex & Suffolk i've been in over the last couple of weeks. Then today, went to a local nursery called Morleys and they had double white & double red ones in the sale at £2.50 each. So got 1 of each.
Yes seeds will be collected when dried out sandra.
