This flower is quite purple when it opens, but then it fades to this lovely dark, almost violet colour. It's in its first year and I look forward to seeing it next year when it has grown a bit taller!

Yes, I agree M, and it's right beside the eucalyptus. I hope it gets up tall enough to be next to the blue leaves...it would be lovely up there!
