Century Plants growing wild on the side of the mesa on which I live. There's literally many thousands of the of these wild Agave populations all over California. Posted for my GoY friend Sandra.

Yes, the can grow very big...the flower spikes grow to 30 - 40 feet and very occasionally they may even reach 50 feet.
