Lovely coloured Lobelia Lori! Well worth uploading twice!
It's a new shade on me. Would you believe there is now a pink variety of the perennial Lobelia? It's ghastly!

Haha... sorry Pip c... I was trying to put it in "my garden" and ended with two pics practically side by side!!
Hi Meanie! This is the specie... it is a wild flower in the mid-West US but it's my guess that this has been tinkered with a bit...it's quite civilised for a wild flower..lol.
I'm with you... a pink? I prefer the flaming red of the cardinalis. I also like the trailing lobelia (which is an annual here.) especially the deep cobalt blue with the white eye.

It's certainly one that I'll be looking out for. My Queen Victoria should make it into bloom this week.

I like the great blue lobelia, but I've never had luck growing it, for some reason.

I have only ever seen the vivid blue groundcover one here.

I love that one too, Pip c... it's the trailing type. I think the series is called Crystal Palace... there is cobalt blue, navy blue, light pastel blue and a cerise colour...all with a white "eye" in the centre... fantastic in hanging baskets with bacopa and german ivy.

What else?
See who else is growing Lobelia siphilitica.
See who else has plants in genus Lobelia.
