A happy hibiscus!

DD - it was planted at the end of August 1996 so almost fourteen years. The soil in that part of the garden is quite heavy clay although it was improved when the area was first dug but hasn't had much since. This area was quite sheltered until about three years ago when my neighbours took out a hedge which sheltered it from east winds.

Thanks Andrew, our soil is too free draining, obviously that is why we do not do very well with this plant.
