All I can say is: thank you very much! : > )
So glad you enjoyed the photo! If you saw a very large tree in full bloom you may be overwhelmed. It is extremely stunning, however, very difficult to get a good clear photo of this tree in full bloom. When it's uploaded on GoY much of the detail and resolution is lost.

It is stunning, rather like a clematis flower.

with something so large...it's hard to keep the details sharp and still get the whole thing in the picture! this is an example of: "you have to be there to appreciate." Many of the trees and plants you post pictures of...I would never know existed...you are an educator...thanks.

I love this tree, but finding them in the nurseries and gardens here is like pulling teeth. I suspect people are afraid of its alternate common name: Cow Itch Tree.

Grandmage:
The flowers closely resemble Hibiscus flowers than Clematis.

Very true this is one of those tree which is difficult to appreciate in a photo.
Thanks! I just love sharing photos and seeing plant photos from other people's gardens...it's the only way we learn...through people's experiences.

Tugbrethil:
This tree is more commonly known as Cow Itch Tree here, however, I like the "Primrose Tree" better (which isn't used to often). LOL! : > )

I agree with that! : )
