oooh love babies of any species! You took a terrific picture, did you have to hang out a second story window to do it? lol. they are soooo cute!

The doves nested in the euonymus bush growing beside our garage door... a pair of cardinals had been scoping out that site, but either they didn't like the door opening and closing a dozen times a day, or the doves bullied them. This nest was at my eye level, and I'm barely 5 feet tall, so it was easy to monitor them.. I went back a few days later to take another picture, and they had already left.

Bird babies fledge and fly very quickly... We have cardinals in the neighbourhood this spring, there are lots of tall trees and bush surrounds our development...so they have habitat...I know they are here because I hear them in the very early morning and late afternoon. Lots more robins this year too.

The nest really was loose, and was pretty much held together by poop.
