Unwelcome visitor

Majestic birds, aren't they ...

If I walk along the nearby canal, usually see a pair. They know thier fish thats for sure

Terratoonie: Yes they are majestic.

Stevietheterrible: I have seldom seen these birds in pairs. I was always under the impression they were/are loaners. I did see THREE together a few months back while I was out with one of my walking groups.

Freesiaperson: well spotted, It was taken from my "office" and as I had the camera near to my desk, it was an opportunity not to be missed. I did take a second shot, just as it launched itself & just missed it's head in the picture.

I agree an unwelcomed visitor. I regularly have one fly by and found foot print in the snow in the garden last winter, I like all creatures but this one can stay away from my pond.

I have "lost" two fish, both orange in colour The ghost koi is perhaps a bit too large the other 9 small fish are brown/black in colour. They seem to spend a lot of time under & in the oxygenating plants. I know who I am blaming for the loss.
