Do you see any difference in this selected form over the original. I find they vary a lot depending how much light they have.

I've not grown the niponicum Bj only this one and I did have a small Lady in Red from you know who, which, true to form, expired (grr) This one gets late afternoon sun and is really growing well and the colour is very good, although it doesn't show too much in this picture.

I presume you mean T&M,Is the burgandy in the stem, or leaf and stem.Mine at it's best is silver /white leaf,stems dark green tuning brown.

it's in the leaf and stem , it looked more silvery as the sun was shining on it
