Vegetable patch on west side of house. We are surrounded by woodland

Do you know, I never have problems with the birds and I put it down to the fact that the garden is so full of slugs and snails and we also feed them. We get lots of birds; coal tits, blue tits, goldfinches, robins, woodpeckers (my favourite) wood pigeons, magpies and others which I don't recognise.
We are bothered by squirrels though!
I have decided not to bother with veg next year because I couldn't keep up with everything that needed done in the garden this year. Something has to give and it will be the veg as I love my flowers.

Yes its true, Veg do tend to need far more attention.....I leave the veg growing to my Hubby.....but I do plant Sweet Peppers in a Sunny spot in the Flower Border, and carrots in Planters.....and Spring Onions, which help to keep the nasties away.....
