this place is in northern south carolina. it is called Lansford Canal State Park and RIGHT NOW is the perfect time to see this wonderful site. i am planning a trip this coming weekend to take some newer photos. you can view the official south carolina parks website here
http://www.southcarolinaparks.com/park-finder/state-park/916.aspx
and this is the expert from the site about the lilies.
Out in the river is one of the largest known stands of rocky shoals spider lilies, tough plants that hang tight in the swift water and bloom spectacularly in a huge blanket of white in late May and early June. An easy-to-walk trail along the river leads to a viewing deck.
