I've only just spotted this photo, Dawn - I am so behind! It looks like the plant that I colllected seed from a year ago when I was out on my trike visiting the grave of an airman from WW2. It was suggested then that it could be Abutilon but it certainly looks the same as yours. Does it have large seed pods that turn blackish with a small round inner pod? I have several plants dotted around the garden and they have done really well and I have just started collecting seeds again. Are they annuals?

Hi Gee. Its the first time I've had them in the garden so not sure. They belong to the deadly nightshade family so are poisonous apparently. I think they are an annual but I'm told they seed around freely. I'll keep a look out to see if they produce seed pods and get back to you. I love collecting seed:-)

Lovely one, have heard of this plant but, never seen it until now.

Its quite nice Dotty and about 2 feet high.

Does it keep the flies away too?

If the plant I have is the same as this I have plenty of seeds if anyone would like some.
