Well, it survived, but these plants just do not thrive for me. Beautiful colours though!

Do you also have acid soil Denise? I wondered if this is a factor...

No I dont Karen its in a clay bed but to which lots of compost has been added over the years. I think they may take a while to settle in ?

Just beautiful

Now that's one Echinacea I would like to have.

It is a lovely colour. I have another one. a pale peachy colour, in a different (warmer) part of the garden. It's performing even more poorly than this one! I really wish I knew where I am going wrong as I love these!

If it's any consolation I've given up on them, maybe will try the front garden :-((

Interesting....I'm not the only one then!

I think It's not enough sun in my case, the front garden gets the most

Nope, can't be...the ones that are struggling the most are in the sunniest part of the garden! I wonder if they just don't like clay soil?

Get the feeling that could be it :-(((

Can't say I blame them...cold clammy sticky silty stuff! Still, at least it's fertile! :)

I think we are doomed on the Echinacea front Karen :-))

I'm acid soil, and don't have any luck with them either :-(

I agree Ann, I think I'll give up on em. No point in growing plants that don't perform and they are just taking up space where something else would thrive.

Positive thinking :-)))
