Yes, Hilo Beauty has almost black-red flowers and are pretty spectacular on a large tree.

Don't bait me - I keep saying no more tender plants (as the conservatory will be full this winter)!! Now , because of you, I've added another Clerodendrum!
As an aside, I'm now 99% certain that my Polyanthese is about to flower!!

There's nothing like a full conservatory or full yard. I have so many plants in my front and back yard...it's not funny. I've been selling some of the duplicate lately.
I sold my African Tulip tree I posted over a week on GoY....I have about 100 more to go. lol! : > )

I know what you mean about a full yard. Thankfully, as spring comes and we find out what we've lost, Sue and I share them out so that I can start filling my garden up over the summer with more plants that I didn't need again!

African Tulip tree are very common in most tropical and subtropical areas of the world. It should be available for sale there. If not, check out a local botanical garden where you could possibly get seeds.

This Pink Plumeria is my daughter's preferred. I bought a pink plumeria last year, but it doesn't have flowers. How long does it take to bloom?

It depends if it's seed-grown or cutting-grown. Seed-grown plants can take 5 years or sometimes longer. Cutting-grown plants will usually bloom within the same year they're planted. They do need at least 4 to 5 hours of direct sun to bloom though.

Oh boy, not again... sincerelly I'm not in the mood to wait for the next 5 years to this plant have flowers... LOL!!!
Will give it to my daughter's boyfriend... he has a huge garden, maybe he will be more sucessfull about it.... :)

What's very strange about seed-grown plants also...is that it can take 2 or 3 years to find out exactly what color flowering Plumeria you have. They don't usually have the real flower color the first few time it blooms - I know very odd.

Virtually everyone here gets cuttings from trees they like from neighbors...at least we know what color we have and they bloom very quickly.
