This year I learned the trick. Let them begin to bloom at the greenhouse and then bring it home and I get blooms all summer long. Favorite flower scent, this. Just a little spice.

Thanks. Such a pleasure to have around. I'm thinking of beginning a collection that I bring in to over winter. Should get blooms midwinter too, with my growlight.

Thanks. These mini carnations are great being so large and full. My favorite form.

That's pretty incredible for a "mini carnation".

Dianthus caryophyllus is the true carnation but seldom seen sold anymore with the advance of cultivars like this one, called pinks and commonly sold in floral departments as mini carnations. I prefer them.

I like the larger carnations myself. The fragrance must be terrific! : > )
