I had to harvest my 'Discoverys' yesterday as one fell from the tree. They came away fairly easily when twisted and another one fell off, so it was the right time. I often wonder because some are ready now, and some won't be ready until October. I think a good idea is to wait until they start to fall.....nature's alarm call! btw, Discovery tastes nice. Quite acidic and a slightly perfumed, almost 'pear' quality. Nice and crisp though, with very white flesh. Definitely a success!

They are a lovely one Stripes ;-))
this is how I'm testing them, I give them a little twist, so far they don't seem ready to come off the tree
