I've told mum to leave one head on hers as its producing fertile seeds. I hope she remembers!

I collected seed from the first flowerhead Fractal hard black seed....do you think i might have success with them?

Don't see why not. Canna's are not too distantly related and they are easy from seed. I think I will research it to maximise success though! probably need a little heat to start.

Ok...thanks Fractal......I grew two Canna, this is their first season and they haven't flowered yet...but yes, they were easy...:>)
