This is Mitzy she was a stray cat. Seven years ago she appeared in the garden drinking out of the bottom pond, she was very emaciated, and bit by bit my late wife Betty managed to get her to eat out of a dish. Slowly she began to put weight on. But to this day she has never let anyone stroke or touch her. She follows me all over and will come into the kitchen with her tail up but the door has to be wide open, what a racket she makes if the door blows shut. Some one must have treated her real bad early on in her life. She will sit with me all day inthe little summer house as long as the door is open.

Mitzy must feel very safe with you and I bet she makes good company for you too. She sure looks healthy and well fed so you're certain to be making her happy.
So good of you and Betty to care for her. As you say, she must have been mistreated prior to finding her 'safe house'.

Mitzy is lovely and love her markings, lovely of Betty to take care of Mitzy and take her in. Nice of you to keep her and must be great when she follows you about shows she trusts you as a friend.
