Basically annuals and sold as such in the UK but they often survive a milder British winter and certainly would do so with some frost protection.
This photo was taken using a close up facility on my camera. The flower was in a small drinking glass just out of shot on my kitchen window sill with a black card background and natural strong sunlight coming in at a shallow angle from top right.

That is so clear & perfect, the black background really makes it pop!
I had some red & orange ganzias one year that were labeled perennials but I never did see them again
