That makes a lovely change to all the plastic alternatives you often see at restaurants. Growing very well so they must like their space.

I must tell Nosypotter to look at this , we were looking at a living wall at the ' Urban Jungle ' in the summer , he was keen to try to make one at the time !

Hi Amy,

It looks wonderful indeed, but I fear it is very difficult to 'install', and even more difficult to keep them well. I once saw a tv program about it, and all the infrastructure they had to build for it, and the effort that went into it to water them. So I fear it will be too difficult, unless you're 'loaded' ;-)
Success in any case,
Hilda

I suspect it would need an automatic watering system of some sort. It sure does look spectacular!

I ,m not going to attempt it Hilda , Nosypotter and his friend were more keen than me , they thought it would be a good idea to grow vegetables in a limited space , it certainly looked a complicated thing to do but spectacular ,
The one we saw did have a watering system Whistonlass ....

Sorry, I had understood correctly, but I 'talked' about Nosypotter's attempt...
I see...(Whistonlass...)

I saw it about a few buildings in Paris, all very expensive ones, from one and the same architect.

I would love to have a go at this......perhaps one day!!!

I think it needs a lot of work, preparation and money, and is very difficult. Alas...

I think you are right, perhaps a very small area to start with?

Yes... I think they have to build in a sort of irrigation system, I once saw a program about expensive buildings in Paris, where they explained how difficult and expensive it was... That's why I haven't started ;-) yet. Lol.

Perhaps I might let you have a go first, and see how you do?

Hahaha, Dottydaisy, I think I'll pass, for once! ;-) Lol.

Hi guys,

Thanks for the lovely comments.

We had this wall built by a company in Godalming. Their after sales service has not been that great so we moved to Scotscape (http://www.scotscape.net/). The wall is not cheap but it is a great interior solution. Not so sure it would look as great if it was an outdoor wall.

Cheers

Roberto
