After Algerian Ivy (Hedera canariensis), Ice plant is the most widely planted ground cover in California. Photo taken Oct. 7, 2010 in Balboa Park, San Diego, CA.

I love the yellow Ice plants, but have yet to get one.

i used to have loads of this both yellow and pink...im delighted to say one survived the snow last year and is now looking healthy and tucked up in my tunel.

It's a really tough ground cover. The common colors here are: purple, red, pink, and yellow.

That's sounds funny from my perspective. Ice plant is commonly referred to as a freeway or park ground cover.

If you know someone who has one...just take a little cutting -- it will start growing within a week or so.

i bet it does...lol
it was becomming a weed over here. especialy in cornwal where it was wipping out the native flora but i'm sure the last two winters will have helpped restore the balance...
