Poppy field about 750 metres from my home

Thanks Elsie. It was taken using a 10x zoom lens and the chuch is perhaps 2 miles away from where I was standing but the nearest poppies were maybe 30 feet away. The long lens foreshortens the perspective.

I just love fields of poppies - come to think of it I just love fields. lol. beautiful picture Anchorman, you are very clever with your camera.

We call this the Millais effect. Dark sky with sunlight on the fields. (The Blind Girl by Millais). It is so dramatic.

I like that a lot.
You can not help but think of paintings when you see a photo like this.
