Bye bye tree...

think it will make a big difference to the garden, they do get out of hand don't they, will look lovely with climbers.

Well neighbour and myself have been talking about it for the last two years, and finally decided it had to go. So we are going to plant clematis and maybe a rose. I am sad about the tree really, as the birds love to get in there, but there are others around.

It will be very nice once your tree has gone...lots of plans for climbers....roll on spring/summer then eh Cinders?

Thanks Whistonlass, yes its something to plan for isnt it. Only problem will be deciding which ones to have.

Ahh poor tree !

I know, I feel like that too. It was only a foot high when I planted it first, 23 years ago. but it is taking all the moisture from the ground to the detriment of everything else.

Good plan Cinders, you will have so much room you wont know what to do with it......lol look forward to seeing the pics.

I know how you feel, some times it just has to be done, and I am sure you will be pleased with the result, might be a little bare to begin with, once you get the plants in though...there will be no stopping you.

They are giants - we have many conifers Leylandiis mainly that surround us - a neighbour had two loped on council land which used to overlook our garden.

Well this one has been taken down now, and it does make a lot of difference. you can see how it all happened in my blog if you are interested.
