How do you find it winters TT?

I originally had it planted in a very sheltered place behind a shed, where it received midday sun all year...
... but... I couldn't see it from the garden or house.... it blossomed without being admired ! ..
So a few years ago, I moved it to near my front door, where it only gets early morning sun... I thought it would maybe suffer from lack of sunlight ... but it has retained its variegated patterns on the leaves... and, this year, started blossoming again, having not done so for a couple of years... so it seems to survive the winters okay, as long as not out in open, biting, cold winds ...
Only problem I find is that it does continually lose a few leaves which have turned yellowish... Does yours drop a few leaves all the time ?

Lovely Drc, before moving to Cornwall, I used to cosset the pittosporums, now I only have two,one being tree height, the purple one & the other a bit more managable although it does need a good pruning. Such a useful foliage if you like flower arranging etc. They are grown here in rows & rows for the cut foliage trade.

Do you think these are actually better shrubs when pruned often? Nicer shape ? More new fresh foliage ?
