Euonymous alatus

I keep second guessing my spelling...craft disease.
These are mose beautiful in autumn. Their fruit is a drupe..so I guess they are related to plums??? The lovely colour looks like it's on fire in the brilliant sun light.

Thanks Michaella, I hope you are successful.
Alexandramou: thanks, the maples in the background are sometimes the same colour as the euonymous..but this year we had so much rain that I think that's why they're the bright sunny yellow. Oddly we had no frost in September which usually brings on the colours, but October has been lovely with only a few frosts so far...fingers crossed for a mild winter.

I've never been able to grow this Lori....wow, yours are stunning!! Actually, it was Euonymus Europeaus I tried to grow....perhaps I should try this instead!

The link below may be of help, Karen. I do know that it is quite adaptable and it thrives in the severe winter climate here in Canada. These two shrubs came from a small piece of root..and have grown to this size in a little less than three years. They don't mind pruning and have a natural inverted triangle shape if left to their own growth habit...but I have seen these in a hedge.
