Yes ST it is a daylily (latin name is Hemerocallis), not a really large one, but flowers well and increases well too.

Lovely picture, I am looking for a nice red day lilly at the moment- repeat flowering if possible. :-)

Im sure this is Frans Hals, GD. I have this and tho its an old favourite, it still cheers me up no end when it flowers.
