Thanks! This plant is so widely grown here...most people don't pay much attention to them.

Almost every neighbor has at least one large clump of Bird-of-Paradise in their yard. Actually, this clump is only around 6 ft/ 2 meters tall and wide. There's many more larger, and impressive specimens in my neighborhood than this one. :>)

Well, I am seriously envious now!

It's so widely used in California because its so very drought tolerant.
