Thanks G, hello Bamps LTNH, its a canon G7 one of the best when it came out but the latest version I thinkits a G11 is a little too expensive for what it is.
It takes some good shots and the macro feature is something I use alot but I find I have to over or under expose alot. However the main reason i bought it is it has a cracking interface, a photographers interface if you will. But a DSLR would beat it for results.
Also it doesnt produce a RAW file to tweak it just kicks out a JPEG and thats yur lot so need to think and try first time

ah yes the G7, 10mps. I am battling away with my scratched-up Canon S3, 6mps but actively seeking one of two camera's as we speak. Fuji HS10 with ridiculous x30 optical zoom so no extra len's required or Panasonic G2 at twice the price & extra len's required. Decisions decisions, Fuji for price, Panasonic for image quality. More reading-up required.
Had a hands-on 5 weeks use of my daughters new Nikon D5000 when she visited from the states this summer. Spectacular IQ & abit like experiencing my VFR750 V4 after riding my much beloved Kawasaki Z400 twin.
Prefering the sleeker G2 though. Stay cool.
