Aster ?

No idea, Pam, but it's very pretty !

Very unusual.....very pretty !!

It looks like my Aster 'lateriflorus Horizontalis' its on page 3 of my pics

And so it goes on and on...is it? I really do not know, they all look alike now lol

Probably it was called lateriflorus horizontalis originally then someone else has come along & called it lady in black. You do find this happens a lot with plant names. Maybe a slight difference in stem colour or leaf or something,so someone tags on "Lady in Black" I have another plant somewhat weedier & the flowers are slightly paler in colour.

As I only have Lady in Black have nothing to compare it with.....

I've just looked in just one catalogue & it has Aster lateriflorus "lovely" listed, & says It dosen't look like a normal lateriflorus. So it does seem as if there could be a bit of variation with plants. So,- Shall we leave it there lol.

Quite colourful Pamd, will look for that one, for next year.

It is pretty Louis, when I had a florist business, I used to be able to buy something called September Flower which was a dainty white one. It was mainly used as a filler for bouquets,like Gyp.
