My lucky day, David. The mark-down sticker literally went on as I walked towards that plant and pot. I think the pot will need to be tucked away in the garage for the Winter though. I know it's colder as the higher Tog rating duvet is on from tonight. No, not on the plant, on my bed! zzzzzzzzz

I know what you mean Shirley, I have a few very small shrubs that I`ve put in a wall manger for the Winter and some other plants that will just have to stay in pots for the time being, everything is so soggy. :o(

I'm sure last November was drier than this ? I've put the 2 new shrubs against the house wall now, in case they blow away in the gale! Grrr.....

I think your right Shirley, it WAS drier. I`ve placed the Christmas tree up against the wall where its sheltered and surrounded it with pots to keep it in place....it hasn`t blown over....yet! :o)

Just looked back in my diary & I mowed the lawn this time last year ... not a hope now ... would probably sink in the wet grass! Good luck keeping the tree safe. : o ))

Thanks, San, it's planted in the ground now. Very cold out now at 4.30, clear sky so there's bound to be a frost.
