These are the only bunch of cattle found in Fairbanks. This agricultural property is well known and I've discovered it was the homestead of the man who founded the nursery where I work now under his son. Back then, you were given any amount of property that you actively worked, a real boon to this fellow as the property is really large. About 80 years ago.

Thank you. :-) We've been under snow for a month, this is in the late autumn, about mid-September. I save up so I have nice photos through the bleak part of winter......lol. And less freezing pics. :-)

Very interesting history GT, bet the cattle are all tucked up in their sheds now the snow has arrived. Brrr !

Cattle all loaded up in a truck and off to wherever that cozy shed may be.....lol. They'll return in spring with new calves. Good thing, brrrr is right. So warm thus far this year, we were getting spoiled around here.

Haha! I love that image! Just taking the photo, they began to wander over with inquisitive faces. I'm sure they thought I would feed them something....lol.
