Is it a Fremontodendron californicum -California Flannel Bush?

yeah, it is a special variety of the plant that the Tree of Life nursery is starting to propagate after we borrowed theirs. it was so popular at the show we had people wanting to pay over 300 dollars for this puppy!!! it as crazy, but this is their stock plant and we could not sell it. it grows in a weeping shape instead of the usual bush shape!!

That's going to be a popular plant, it will go down a storm in the UK.

That's crazy $300.00!!! It's one of CA. nicest native plants, in my opinion. However, I would never this much for this plant!

They are grown as a wall shrub in sheltered areas of the UK. I like the plant but it needs space to look its best ,and I hate pruning it - makes me itch!

Its indeed a very, very lovely and stylish plant.
