I am very pleased with this little Ramonda growing in shade and flowering in May. The species is not readily available but it looks as if this plant may form a nice clump.

If you manage to get one then find a spot on the north side of a rock for it where it will keep cool.

This is lovely, it may very well make it onto my list for our revamped alpine bed and thanks for your response to my questions!! Now I see why you would struggle to choose favourites!
