Autumn In the Big Birch

I love your view. There are still a few golden leaves hanging on the Birches opposite the front of my house. They seem to hang on ages after all the other leaves have gone. My silver birches don't though, they fall fairly early....must be just the wilder types that do this!

These leaves will hang on into January sometimes. I think we are mostly paper birch. Seems the more hardy trees will hold their leaves longer. All the chokecherries here hold their leaves into winter as well, and can be well trusted to survive.

Can we have some of that blue sky over here please?

I could see that being good for you, but here in winter blue sky means very very cold temps. Its blue today and -38C. I wouldn't mind a little of your cloud cover.....lol.
