This is one tough and hardy orchid native to the eastern coast of Australia. It's another one of the endless winter blooming orchids here. Photo taken in the Botanical Building, Balboa Park, San Diego, CA. on Dec. 13, 2010.

It should be blooming by now. Maybe it needs to be kept a little cooler...as they usually need cooler winter weather to bloom (50ºF/10ºC. - 55ºF/13ºC. or slightly cooler at night).

Its a pretty bloom for being common.

There's several varieties...however, this orchid isn't as common as Epidendrum orchid hybrids.
