It's about a seven minute drive and a five minute hike down a steep slope.

Every family in the country owns olive trees. Some people collect the olives some don't (me). I'm actually helping out this year. Each family passes the land down, so between myself and my husband we have lots of olive trees. Not really my kind of thing....
I didn't know California grows olive trees????

Olive trees were among the first non-native trees planted here along with palms by the Missionary Fathers hundreds of years ago. Olives are commercially grown in the Central Valley of California.
