who'd have thought this was here. Much much betterin the summer and the swans are out.

True. I wish it were a less grey moment, though. It's right in the middle of Brum, in the shadow of the motorway and Asda! Swans live there, too.

I used to know this place when it was a quarry. There were swans there then too, and Teal, Pochard, Tufted Ducks, Mallard, Shoveller, Little Ringed Plovers, Kingfisher, Lapwings, and many many other bird species.
I left Brum in 1974 and came to Australia where i still live

I think it looks better like this. If those trees were full of leaves you'd hardly see the water.
