I bought these Roses for Julie on Christmas eve, on the way back from my morning swim. It's a Christmas eve tradition, I always buy some flowers for Julie.
But ,by Christmas morning they had drooped and, apart from 2 blooms, they were all looking very sorry for themselves.Being near the radiator, I suppose.
But, we went out for the day on Boxing Day to see Julie's mum and ,hey presto, when we arrived home they had all perked up, thanks no doubt, to the heating being off all day. And, they looked even better this morning.

beautiful roses
i remember my youngest spending a lot on roses for a valentine present ~ we had to revive them too
i tried aspirin in the water
eventually i cut the ends off and put them in boiling water ~ they revived!!! thankfully!
apparantly they can get a bubble of air in their necks and the boiling water gets rid of it

Oh, that's useful to know! I always disolve some sugar in the water with cut flowers.
After the bad start, these roses are still looking wonderful, opening a little more each day!!!

Thanks, I love yellow roses. The only colour roses in my garden! Don't know why or how the tradition started but I've stuck to it every year since we were married!(31 christmases!!)
