Several streets were flooded last week in the very heavy rains. The San Diego River was the highest in more than 30 years last week. Photo taken Dec. 22, 2010.

There was extreme flooding in many parts of all California last week. However, all the flooding has gone down here, although many people are still cleaning up. Luckily, the "Pineapple Express" (huge train of moist, tropical plume of rain from Hawaii, which last from 5 - 12 days) doesn't happen very often.

Dottydaisy2:
Yes, the San Diego Rive has receded back to normal...however, there's still many problems with mudslides throughout all of California from the extreme flooding.

Yes, Queensland, Australia has been hit with catastrophic flooding. It's horrible!
We've been lucky...we've been getting some warm weather to dry out... the last 3 day have been 70ºF/21ºC - 75ºf/24ºC and up to 80ºF/27ºC. or warmer on Friday - Sunday or possibly longer. This warm weather will help with the continued clean up in the areas hit really hard by the severe flooding.
