My neighbor's San Jose Hesper Palm was blowing in the strong storm winds. Photo taken Dec. 22, 2010.

Yes, however, not as strong as it could have been. The wind gusts were 30mph/48kph.

The huge storms with extreme flooding we had over 6 days last week are not common at all in San Diego. Our rains usually come in quickly and don't last very long.
