It's just the opposite here...they're a winter annual.

you must be further south than i realised delonix ~ they would be sold as summer annuals here.

Oity I left my salvias out this winter, I forgot beause of the exhibition thingy, don't expect to see them flowering ever again, glad I took some seeds though!

lol! Yes, San Diego is the furthest south on the west coast one can travel before going over the border to Tijuana, Mexico. (yes, it's a border city. lol! -- sometimes not such a good thing)

It's like traveling from where you live in the U.K., down to around Alexandria, Egypt.

Camels are more adaptable than you think...there's several species of camels at the San Diego Zoo.

not sure if we have camels in our zoo ~ london certainly has!

Edmonton, Alberta, Canada is 21º (almost due north) of San Diego. It's 2,881km/1790miles away! :>)
