Thanks Simbad that one does not often come into the gardens because I look over a field down to a little woodland. There is a family of them there and there is quite a lot of rabbits and no live stock in the area so they normally keep themselves to themselves but they were getting a bit bold in all that snow

Yes ours don't bother us too much either Puddock they come to drink from our pond, and they keep the wild rabbit population down in the garden which are more of a problem digging up all my plants grrrr, so quite happy to have them around, have had to warn our new neighbours about them though, they have an outdoor shed were they keep canaries and in the warm weather have the door open, would hate for them to get in there.

You are absoutely right Simbad very nice to look at and good at keeping down rabbit the population. But in the wrong place they really are a problem. My mother used to keep ornimental ducks and the pond area was well fenced of with a high fence and a fox got in one night and killed all 18 and only took one away to eat. The local farmers were sufering the same sort of losses with lambs and poultry. So there had to be something done even although it upset some people. But happily as I said no livestock in this area so its probably better to leave this family alone to stop them having to find a new home and bothering farmers with livestock

Great picture Puddock, well caught, we have a fox visit our garden too, but must say yours looks in much better condition, ours is very scruffy looking.
