I bet it doens't like -10ºC either. I'm guessing it doesn't like it below 50ºF/10ºC. to often also. I had one in my yard for 4 years...last summer I let it die out because of the drought and water restrictions here.

That's a shame Delonix..we dont have droughts very often, think it would break my heart to lose my garden because of it

We're finally out of our long 7 year drought. We had severe flooding rains for a week until just before Christmas and after...and quite a bit of rain this season, so far...which is very unusual for a La Niña year.

Marguerite lives close to Perth in Western Australia now. Perth has been having very bad heat waves.

Goodness, if its not one thing its another, terrible floods in Brazil, Sri Lanka and Australia..heat waves in Australia..lets hope your rain doesnt set in. At present we are continuous rain for a predicted 5 days in the west country..flooding already, but not on other peoples scale.

It has been an incredible wild weather year in 2010 and 2011 is starting out just as crazy! Although, we are heading into some really nice warm weather over the next week -- temps up to possibly 85ºF/29ºC. for Friday - Sunday.

Good thinking.......

Dottydaisy2:
It's used here sometimes as an annual also. However, most of the time it tends to live 3 -6 years (possibly longer).
