Great Tiarella for forming a carpet under trees and shrubs.
The flowers can be perfumed at certain times

This is very beautiful. I planted 6 of them last year so it's nice to see how they'll look once they're mature. Our miserable winter has flattened them down and blackened the leaves, but they'll be fine. Has yours spread much, Vicky?

I could find the perfect place for it. :o)

If the temperature goes to about -14 -15 they loose their leaves or they go black otherwise they are evergreen
Dont worry they will come back this spring as good as new

funny, it was exactly a year ago that I posted the above comment, about my Tiarella being blackened from cold, and you should see them today - so green and healthy!!

great Laura - I bought one today Tiarella - Jeepers creepers thought it was a heuchera - are they related???

don't know, but here you can buy a "Heucherella," which is a hybrid of Tiarella and Heuchera. The leaves are very similar, though. I do greatly prefer Tiarella - I had some Heucheras and they never did especially well in my garden. Plus the Tiarella is a good spreader and you'll find lots of little babies next year.
